Scrubbed and Dyed Landscape (with history) With Artist Nina Irwin
Landscape painting has a unique place in the history of American art. Our American landscape has always been a big part of our identity as a country. In this class, we will explore some of the history of landscape painting from the past and into the present. Thinking about our own relationship with nature, we will create our own, unique landscape painting by mostly scrubbing and dying the surface of a painting panel. At the end of the class, we will enjoy the "gallery" of the works and reflect on their meaning and relationship to each other. No prior art experience required.
